One nice thing about books is even though they’re not technically new releases anymore, they’re still getting some good recognition. That includes my three new books, Animal Husbandry, Civic Minded, and Votes of Confidence, as well as my climate change book A Hot Mess and history book Rockin’ the Boat. They’re available in multiple formats and most are available wherever you buy books.
My hometown Chicago Public Library featured A Hot Mess in this great list of climate change books for teens (and older readers too).
The Midwest Book Review just released its review and recommendation for Civic Minded: “Comprehensive, impressively well organized, and thoroughly ‘reader friendly in presentation, Jeff Fleischer’s “Civic Minded: What Everyone Should Know about the US Government” from Zest Books is an ideal and unreservedly recommended addition to family, middle school, high school, and community library Political and Governmental Studies collections for ages 11-18.”
The Canton Public Library in Canton, Ohio, put together a cool list of Election Prep for Young Voters, and featured Civicl Minded among its selections.
This nice article in the Pioneer Press in the Twin Cities recommended Rockin’ the Boat for “a teen on your list who dreams of someday shaking up the world.” (This was a holiday shopping piece, but I missed it in December.)
Book People in Austin, Texas, selected some recent arrivals to highlight in its teen nonfiction section, and Civic Minded made the list.
