I’m working on a couple of potential projects at the moment and reading a ton for fun, but thought I’d share some recent praise of some of my nonfiction books. Here’s a quick recent recap.
My hometown Chicago Public Library released a list of nonfiction for teens to celebrate America at 250. My book Civic Minded is among the books celebrated here.
Also on the America @ 250 front, Florida Humanities featured Votes of Confidence on the young adult portion of its Libby Library reading list for America 250: Life, Liberty, and Libraries.
Cambridge Public Library in Cambridge, Ontario, included Votes of Confidence on this list about “The Power of the Vote.”
The library at my undergraduate alma mater, Indiana University, added Votes of Confidence to its Recommended Reads for Civic Action and Engagement.
Civic Arkansas featured Civic Minded as part of its Democracy Reading Challenge.
Teaching Books once again included Votes of Confidence on one of its recommended reading lists, this one “30 Books about Voting and Elections for Kids of All Ages.”
This column in the Washington County Enterprise-Leader gave readers an end-of-summer reading list, and Civic Minded was among the few nonfiction recommendations.
