With three books coming out in 2024, I’m currently scheduling in-person and virtual events with bookstores, schools, and libraries in Chicagoland, the Midwest, and beyond. I’m also happy to discuss existing books A Hot Mess and Rockin’ the Boat (included in the downloadable media packet).

Events can focus on any specific book, on writing and author careers in general, or on specific topics covered by the books (elections, government policy, climate change).
For visits focused on either fiction or nonfiction, I am happy to tailor discussion to the audience and to talk with organizers in advance to plan an event that best suits their needs.
Event Options: Audience question-and-answer; Moderator interview followed by Q&A; Presentation followed by Q&A; Reading followed by Q&A. I will also do book club visits and readings for Animal Husbandry .
Free Teaching Guides: For teachers and librarians, my publisher and I created free Teaching Guides with some ideas for how to use Votes of Confidence and Civic Minded in the classroom. You can download them for free. Click here for the Votes of Confidence teaching guide and click here for the Civic Minded teaching guide.
In-Person Events: I have a few book events open to the public, and will add more to this page (and the blog) as they come up.
September 18: Animal Husbandry book launch at The Book Cellar in Chicago.
October 2: Civic Minded book launch at 57th Street Books in Chicago.
November 10: Animal Husbandry reading and signing at Secret World Books in Highland Park.
