Secret World event went really well

by Jeff Fleischer

Last night, Jeremy T. Wilson and I did “A Beastly Reading” at Secret World Books in suburban Highland Park. It was a really fun event and the store has a few extra signed copies if you missed it.

I read excerpts from three stories in Animal Husbandry: “Clarksdale,” “Seaweed and Salt,” and “Paying the Piper.” Jeremy read the first few chapters of his novel The Quail Who Wears the Shirt. The store’s owner and fellow author, Gayle Brandeis, did an excellent Q&A with lots of thoughtful questions about process, influences, and craft, and the audience questions were also great.
