One of my favorite literary journals to publish in is the annual So It Goes by the Kurt Vonnegut Library and Museum. The journal just published me for the sixth time, as my short story “Cousin Mabel’s Big Scoop” appears in the new journalism-themed issue.
An excerpt:
Ever since she was a little pitcher, my cousin Mabel always wanted to be a writer. Wasn’t half bad at it either. Along with that, she had the kind of face that got people telling her their life story without her even asking their names.
