With the election coming up, both Votes of Confidence 3rd Edition and Civic Minded are getting some nice accolades.
First, here’s a great downloadable Inspiring Future Voters guide put together by the American Library Association, ALA Booklist, and Association for Library Service to Children. It includes Votes of Confidence as one of its five recommended books for middle school readers.
Also, the New York Public Library always puts out a great list of election resources for readers every four years, and it’s nice to see Votes of Confidence appear on the list again.
Kirkus Reviews, which gave Civic Minded a very nice review already, included it in this handy list of “25 Books for Young Voters-in-Training.”
And the District of Columbia Public Library put out this useful list of “Great Reads for Civics Season,” which includes Votes of Confidence as well.
